I think the writers of Supernatural had it wrong. Hell isn't fire or hanging from meat hooks. It isn't even having the dubious pleasure of meeting a demon by the name Alastair. No, and I know it from personal experience, it is nine days without internet. I'm not counting those five minutes it took me to send three e-mails from a friend's laptop.

I never, ever want to go through this again. I'd rather have mu teeth pulled without an anesthetic. Well, maybe.

Now - an eternity after the rest of civilized world - I'm going to be able to download SPN 5x02 and watch it. Not to mention my embarrassment when I saw that the fic written for me as a part of Renegade Angels exchange over at deancastiel had been posted a week ago and I still haven't read it.

I just hope I didn't miss anything important - I'm talking fic, spoilers, gossip, vids; you know, fannish stuff of the dean/castiel and general SPN variety - in the past nine days because I don't have enough time to browse through nine days worth of entries on my f-list. If you think there are things I should see/read feel free to link them to me, I'll be eternally grateful.

Someone very dear to me once said that celebrating a birthday is a concept wasted on me. She was right, but you guys - especially you, olympia_m, you know why - have made this day really special for me.

I saw this meme a while ago, and had it saved, but never got around to posting it.

So... recommendations. We all love them, right? Well, I know I do. They save time and sometimes help you discover something new - a book, a writer, a band; it doesn't matter - you might have missed otherwise.

The song I'd like to recommend is Poets Of The Fall - Carnival Of Rust. I've been listening to it obsessively for almost three weeks now, and it still has the same impact on me as it did the first time I heard it. Usually, I hate song prompts, but I would be willing to offer a piece of my soul for a Dean/Castiel fic inspired by it.

Okay, so I'm spamming lately. But I have a wonderful reason to do so.

Yesterday - thanks to thevinegarworks - I have found the wonderful Gift Exchange. I left a comment with two wishes. To be honest, I didn't expect either of my wishes to be fulfilled, but I was wrong.

Now, thanks to the most amazing big_heart_june I have a paid account. And thirty userpics! It might not sound much to some of you, but it is for me. I love you, Juney. Really.

Also, you might have noticed my new layout and my new header which I love like crazy. It - the header, not the layout - was made especially for me by the talented angstpuppy.

In the spirit of giving I offered to write a couple of fics. The list looks something like this:
- Dean/Castiel future!fic with Dean, Castiel and Sam all hunting together for thevinegarworks
- Dean/Castiel first time fic for big_heart_june
- Gen fic - or pre-slash, even though I hate that term - from Castiel's POV set between The Monster and The Rapture for kadiel_krieger

Now all I need to do is cut sleeping to two and a half hours, but who needs sleeping anyway. There are far better things a person could do with that time.
